When you actually believe that the gross is all of yours your business will come crumbling down. Focus on growing net profits and banking as much money as possible in the shortest possible time. This is about defining what type of lifestyle you want to live and sticking with it even when you start increasing sales.
Money Myth #3 – It will be there next month!
The story of every entrepreneurs life. Making financial decisions assuming the money will be there next month. If you find yourself buying toys out of a paycheck coming in the future this should shoot up red flags. I’m not saying live frugal, just make sure you have the cash flow that will pay for your toys.
The ultimate goal is to bank as much as possible in the shortest amount of time so if your business stops today you have the capital to start a new venture without worrying about how to find the funds. Define the lifestyle you want and stick with it. The next financial decisions you make be sure none of these are the premise to making that decision.
